Share the love of science and nanotechnology!

Student NanoAmbassador Program (SNAP) brings current Nanotechnology students at North Seattle Community College and recent program graduates into the classroom of middle and high schools around the Puget Sound to introduce students to the field of nanotechnology and to the nanotechnology education options available in the region. All students pursing a degree or certificate in nanotechnology at NSCC are strongly encouraged to participate in SNAP for at least one quarter.

SNAP Members:

  • Facilitate NanoDemos for middle and high school students through schools and youth organizations
  • Participate in NanoDemos for the community during such events as NanoDays
  • Create new NanoDemos
  • Assist in creation of additional curriculum material

SNAP Requirements:

  • Work 30 hours per quarter
  • Participate in at least three NanoDemos per quarter
  • Attend one SNAP training per quarter
  • Attend monthly SNAP meetings

SNAP Stipend:

  • $300 per quarter (Fall, Winter, Spring)
  • 10 stipends available per quarter
  • Stipends are awarded on a per quarter basis
  • Members receive their stipend at the completion of requirements each quarter
  • Funding available through SHINE NSF-ATE grant
