Catherine Basl, Recruitment and Employment Specialist
Catherine coordinates recruitment for the NSCC Nanotechnology program, provides career development for SHINE Nanotechnology students, and facilitates regional partnerships with community organizations and employers. A Seattle native, Catherine recently returned to the Emerald city after finishing her master's in Higher Education Administration and Policy at Northwestern University in Chicago. Maureen Devery, Outreach Manager
Maureen is the Outreach Manager for SHINE. Prior to joining SHINE, she worked in informal science education at The Museum of Flight and served as an AmeriCorps VISTA at Tukwila Elementary School. Peter Kazarinoff, Lab Manager
Peter manages, repairs, and maintains all of the scientific instruments in the SHINE Nanotechnology Lab. Peter's prior experience in nanotechnology research includes the fabrication and testing of organic solar cells and field-effect transistors. Brian Rucci, Program Coordinator
Brian manages the day-to-day office operations for SHINE and has been working for two National Science Foundation Grant's at North Seattle Community College since 2010. He is currently enrolled at the University of Washington and working towards a degree in Environmental Studies.
