One component of the SHINE project is to lead an annual 3-day summer Train the NanoTeacher workshops for regional high school and community college educators.
New nanotechnology educational modules will be developed for the Train the NanoTeacher workshops. These new activities will be developed as a collaborative effort between NSCC faculty and industry and academic partners who are experts in their field. Although each workshop will provide an overview of nanotechnology topics, each summer, a different subsection of nanotechnology will be featured with a new educational module, including: Solar Energy; BioNanotechnology; and Electronics / Photonics.
