 Peter Kazarinoff, Managing Director and Faculty

As SHINE's Managing Director, Peter is involved with the day-to-day running of the Center, as well as the Center's progress towards long-term strategic goals. Peter's prior experience in nanotechnology includes working as the SHINE Nanotechnology Lab Technician and his research on the fabrication and testing of organic solar cells and field-effect transistors, part of the PhD in Materials Science and Engineering he earned from the University of Washington in 2012. Brian Rucci, Program Coordinator

Brian manages the day-to-day office operations of SHINE. He has assisted with the coordination of two different National Science Foundation Grants since coming to North Seattle College in 2009. Brian loves snowboarding and has a passion for the outdoors. He has his BA in Environmental Studies and a Minor in Environmental Science and Resource Management from the University of Washington. Mine Her, Employment & Internship Specialist

Mine provides career counseling for North's Nanotechnology students, facilitates regional partnerships and internship development with industry members and coordinates campus recruitment for North's Nanotechnology program. Mine has 9+ years in the social service field that encompasses higher education, employment, and counseling; with a focus on serving underrepresented and underserved populations. Kristine Schroeder, Lab Technician

Kristine

Kristine maintains the SHINE Nanotechnology Lab and provides training on the laboratory instruments.
